Ten years ago, David Wheatley and John Barrett were settling into a small office in Battle Creek. With David and John's vast knowledge of leadership development and tremendous support from Battle Creek's Chamber of Commerce, Humanergy, Inc. was created on March 1, 2000.
During the last 10 years, the Humanergy team expanded and the headquarters relocated to Marshall, Michigan. Humanergy's thriving leadership development company is dedicated to helping individuals and organizations achieve high performance. As a result of their experiences, David, John, and Lynn Townsend authored the book, 50 DOs for Everyday Leadership in 2006.
One of Humanergy's goals is to make a real difference in the world. In keeping with this goal, Humanergy has decided to forego the ubiquitous anniversary coffee mug or pen. Instead, the organization is celebrating its 10th anniversary by contributing to the Fountain Clinic of Marshall. Donations to the clinic will be given in the names of those key individuals and organizations who have contributed to Humanergy's success.
The Fountain Clinic provides medical care to uninsured or under insured individuals and families. With the help of volunteer doctors, dentists, and physician assistants, the clinic offers a medical home and quality care to its patients. The clinic makes real differences in peoples' lives, an objective it shares with Humanergy.
